Australia does not have a standalone cookie law equivalent to the EU's ePrivacy Directive. However, the Privacy Act 1988 and APP 5 require notification when personal information is collected, including through cookies. We provide this notice for transparency and to prepare for international expansion.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember your preferences, and collect usage information.

What we do not use
No advertising cookies. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or tracking cookies. Internest does not display ads and does not share your data with advertisers.
No third-party social media trackers. We do not embed social media tracking pixels or widgets that set cookies.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use GA4 (property ID: G-QCSC1SZMY4) to understand how visitors interact with our platform. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and features used
- Session duration and bounce rate
- General geographic location (from IP address)
- Device and browser information
- Referral sources
GA4 data is processed on Google's servers, which may be in the United States. We have enabled IP anonymisation where available. GA4 does not collect your name, email, or other directly identifying information through cookies.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Disabling essential cookies may affect some website functionality.

Future international users
United Kingdom: If you access our Platform from the UK, PECR and UK GDPR apply. UK users will be presented with a cookie consent mechanism allowing granular control. Non-essential cookies will not activate until consent is provided.
New Zealand: Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020, Information Privacy Principle 3 requires disclosure of cookie-based data collection. NZ users receive the same transparency provided to Australian users.
Changes to this notice
We will update this Cookie Notice if we add new cookie types or tracking technologies.
