1. About Internest and these terms
Internest (ABN: 36 637 557 067) operates internest.com.au (“the Platform”), an AI-powered recurring spend optimisation platform providing comparison tools, calculators, and information across energy, insurance, banking, medicine, superannuation, telecommunications, and subscriptions (“the Service”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform. By using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, and AI Transparency Statement (collectively, “the Legal Documents”).
Internest does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), an Australian Credit Licence (ACL), or Consumer Data Right (CDR) accreditation.
2. Important disclaimers — not professional advice
The Service provides general information, comparison tools, and calculators. Nothing on this Platform constitutes:
- Financial advice (general or personal) within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)
- Tax advice within the meaning of the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (Cth)
- Health or medical advice of any kind
- Legal advice of any kind
- Insurance advice or a recommendation about any insurance product
- A recommendation that any particular product or service is appropriate for you

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and an Australian resident to use the Service.
4. Your account
Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt unauthorised access to our systems
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without our prior written consent
- Collect or process personal information of other individuals via the Service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
6. Your data and bill uploads
Ownership: You retain ownership of all data you upload.
Licence: By uploading content, you grant Internest a non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited licence to process that content solely for providing the Service. This licence terminates when you delete your data or close your account.
Bill processing: Uploaded files are processed in real time using OCR and AI. Original files are not permanently retained — only extracted structured data is stored.
Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. Inaccurate inputs will produce inaccurate results.
7. Data accuracy and third-party information
Product information is sourced from third-party APIs, public datasets, and providers. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of this information. Prices, rates, features, and availability may change without notice. Always confirm details directly with the provider.
8. Commercial relationships
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We may receive referral fees from product providers. Where we have a commercial relationship, this will be disclosed on the relevant comparison page. Commercial relationships do not influence the factual accuracy of information we present.
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Platform (text, graphics, logos, software, algorithms, comparison methodologies, data compilations) is owned by or licensed to Internest and protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use.
10. Service availability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free access. We may suspend or modify the Service at any time for maintenance, security, or other reasons.
11. Limitation of liability
Australian Consumer Law rights preserved. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by law.
Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupply of the service or the cost of resupply. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Internest excludes all liability for loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of the Platform, inaccurate information, AI-generated content, or third-party services.
Maximum liability: Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) AUD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Internest from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful use, IP-infringing uploads, or inaccurate information you provide.
13. Changes to these terms
Material changes will be notified at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Termination
You may terminate at any time by contacting info@internest.com.au. We may suspend access for Terms breaches or as required by law. Sections 2, 9, 11, 12, and 15 survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
16. Dispute resolution
Contact us first at info@internest.com.au — we will endeavour to resolve within 30 days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to mediation before court proceedings.
